Having Keywords in a variety of languages as well as an expansive list of Source Groups helps both the regional and global teams.
Locally: You are able to listen to the DOC on a deeper level, pull more accurate reports, create specific content, promotions and advertisements, as well as engage with customers on a more personal level.
Globally: By growing the base of Social Studio, the Global Team would have the ability to provide content, reports, analytics, and much more information, while having a better representation of each culture and region.
What are Keywords and Source Groups and why are they important to your region’s dashboard?
Keywords are words of great significance. For example, ‘diabetes,’ ‘endocrinologist,’ and ‘glucose,’ are imperative terms for our Overall Diabetes profile. Without these words and many others, Social Studio would not be able to actively pull data and reports from online content being posted by and to our target audience.
To make an impact on your profile, the Global Team suggests that you submit at least 50 Keywords to effectively be able to use Social Studio.
Source Groups are specific websites (URL’s) gathered and entered into Social Studio to monitor pre-existing pages. Source Groups can be found on different kinds of platforms: social media, blogs, forums, websites, etc. Each Source Group can offer a unique perspective or insight into the DOC, Digital Online Community.
Social media, blogs, and forums are typically patient voices: opinions, frustrations, questions. Medical and diabetes specific websites offer professional viewpoints: newest innovations, studies, and product releases. Influencers are people within the DOC, usually not sponsored by a company, that have a large follower base where they post diabetes related content. Their posts generate engagement including likes, comments, and shares.
By entering these sources into the Social Studio, we can further expand social listening in your region's dashboard.
Case Study.
Here is a quick example of how submitting Keywords and Source Groups can enhance your region’s profile. Last week, an affiliate reached out wanting to monitor a new partnership between Roche and Wellthy Therapeutics. After initial research and realizing that this venture was occurring in India, I quickly needed words in Hindi and other languages spoken in the region. While the affiliate is working on this request, I entered the top 10 diabetes related keywords in Hindi and our language results generated a 297% increase in picked-up content! Once the other languages are entered, India should be able to listen on a much deeper level!
