A user is assigned to a smart group based on the metadata that is associated with a user. Therefore it is important to ensure that a user has the applicable metadata that matches the criteria set for a smart group. See the example below for more information.
The smart group below sets the criteria that:
- The user must be Active in the system
- The user must be in the United States
- The user must have the District set to East
It is important to note that ALL of the criteria listed above must be present in a user's profile in order for them to be placed in this specific smart group.
Lastly, the screenshot below displays a user that is in this particular smart group. You will notice that their profile meets all of the criteria mentioned in the smart group. (Items highlighted in green.)
