Update the Main and Sitemap Menu

The main navigation refers to the dropdown
menus that run along the top of the screen. These items will also be reflected in the sitemap.

To add items to the main menu, select Main Menu under Menu Management on the
Configuration tab. While on the List Links tab, select Add Link to include a new link to the main navigation and sitemap. You can also change the placement of individual items, as outlined below.

Adding Main Menu and Sitemap Links

1. Menu Link Title: Enter the text that should appear in the main menu and on the sitemap.

2. Path: Enter an external URL or identify
the internal node for the page the link willdrive to.

3. Description: This brief phrase will appear when a user hovers over the link.

4. Enabled: Check this box when the link is
live and and should appear in the main
navigation and on the sitemap. Deselect
Enabled to remove a link from the nav.

5. Show As Expanded: If the menu item
has other items beneath it, checking this
box will ensure that it is always shown as
expanded.

6. Parent Link: Select the appropriate parent link from the dropdown menu.

7. Weight: The smaller the number, the
closer to the top of the menus this item will appear. You can also change the placement
of individual items, as outlined below.

8. Visibility Settings: It is recommended not to check any of these boxes, so the link will be seen by all users.

9. Menu Icon Settings 

a. Use an Icon: Check this box if you want to include an icon.

b. Image Style: Select Menu Icons Default
for icons to appear in the menu.

c. Path to the Icon: If you would like to
use an icon already on the server, enter the
path here.

d. Upload a New Icon Image: Click the
Browse or Choose File button. Browse to the file, select it and click Open.

10. XML Sitemap

a. Inclusion: The Default (included)
setting will ensure that the item is included in the sitemap, as well as the main nav. You may manually select Excluded for any items not to be on the sitemap.

b. Priority: If you include the item in the sitemap, you can raise or lower the
priority of this item relative to other items. Choosing Default (0.5) will treat it like any other page. You can also change the placement of individual items, as outlined below.

11. Save: Save your settings here. If the link
has already been set to Enabled in step 4, it will be added to the sitemap when you click Save.

Changing The Order Of Main Menu And Sitemap Links While on the List Links tab, you can also change the order of menu items

1. Select the four arrows symbol at the left of any entry to move it into a new position.

• Sub-pages will automatically be selected along with parent pages.

• Move the symbol to the left to raise it in the hierarchy, or to the right to make it a child of the page above.

2. At the far right of each item, you can deselect Enable to remove a link from view, Delete a link or Edit the link text, destination and other settings.

3. When finished, scroll to the bottom of the
list and Save Configuration.
